This piece is fashioned from an old barrier fence salvaged from the Shondeck property in North Elk Meadows. It is a delightful catchall for any home, but we like to think of it as an altar to house your treasures, memorabilia and inspired whatnot. This horizontal cabinet is fashioned from an old 5-panel door and repurposed into 5 separate bays for storing dry goods, gear, toys, hobbies… you name it. An interesting find:  This Invalid Chair is quite a conversation piece!  Needs work, but is historically significant to the right buyer!  Inquire for details.

LA TABLA: Historically significant, this table is made from salvaged wood collected from around Gunnison and the table legs are fashioned from spindles that survived the historic LA VETA HOTEL fire. Offer: $750

Perennial flower beds and a chiminea outline the curved front patio that provides space for an outdoor kitchen, bbq and hot tub. The reclaimed windows and doors used to enclose the north wall are from Salvage & Such. The little building in the back is their son’s “club house” made from their old fence when they replaced it. The Miller’s are very proud of this space! They have also recently constructed a Vardo gypsy wagon!

See the steps (in photos below) utilizing a Salvage & Such reclaimed door for use to make the perfect, artsy door for entry into a whimsical caravan. This piece was submitted by Rick Miller, a man on a mission for a different mode of travel!   Efforts like this are the real backbone of the larger salvage mission to inspire people to think outside the box and be playful again! Salvage is a solution to more than just keeping usable materials out of the landfill.  It is about expanding your ideas, getting your hands dirty and revisiting that childlike imagination that makes life more interesting!  What would you build?
